KUNZ UTS Universal Torquing Systems

KUNZ UTS Universal Torquing System. A dual spindle nut runner/setter system provides computer controlled torque for all aircraft wheels. The software for the KUNZ UTS is especially written for aircraft wheel torquing. Two electrically driven spindles are mounted to the overhead swivel beam of the Universal Assembly/Disassembly Stand or to an on-site overhead rail. They are adjustable in distance by electric motor at a push of a button to cover the full range of bolt diameters for all aircraft wheels. The programming and recording of torque data is simple. More then one hundred different programs can be set for different wheel models and the associated torque or angle parameters.
The Kunz UTS was introduced in 1998, more than 80 systems are in operation today. Although the working environments are tough the Kunz system is extremely reliable: The monitor, controls and computer are in a separate housing with forced ventilation and dust filter - away from the assembly station. The operator controls the UTS from an industrial standard key board. A spindle retraction system to speed up the positioning after each nut setting is available at option.
